I finally printed my own monitor calendar strip for 2009 even though I created them early in October, but just never got around to print one. I originally created the calendars in 2008 and the feedback was so positive that I just had to keep on repeating it. I really like to have the calendar attached to the frame of the monitor, it is very helpful. While I am on the subject of calendars. I also have the 2009 version of the popular dodecahedron calendar with different backgrounds. It is easy to make if you glue it in the right order. My CD case calendars were quite popular Christmas presents. I give them to my friends and family in the case the first year and then I can them send refills the next year. I created my version to be printed on double sided brochure paper (I get mine at Staples), this way there are not too many pages to cram into the case. How time flies, I just realized that tomorrow is already November. So I quickly looked through my photos I took during October to find one that would make a great wallpaper. I just realized that it is almost October and so time to offer the new wallpaper. October's photo is a dragon fly. I saw it sitting motionless on a stone while I was gardening. I guess that dragon flies need warmer temperatures to fly around and as it was early morning it was still a little too cold. That proved to be perfect for me to take closeup pictures without having to worry that it will fly away. I love to take pictures and until now I have never really used them as desktop wall paper. For some reason I just feel it is the right thing to do to use my best pictures for my desktop wallpaper calendar. After a little bit of experimenting, I realized that a photo that isn't too busy is better suited as a desktop wallpaper than a busy photo. I am happy to present my September desktop wallpaper calendar. I have create 3 different sizes that should fit a lot of monitor definitions. My LCD monitor is set to 1680 x 1050 pixels and I am currently using the 1920 x 1200 pixels wallpaper stretched and it works great. There is also one wallpaper without a calendar on it. I have just finished updating my last calendar for 2009. This one is a 1 year vertical calendar that prints on one page and then is folded into thirds and glued shut. I find it very useful to have all the info available like this. The only true measure of success is joy

After reading about the 2009 dodecahedron calendars at Lifehacker , I decided it was time to get my colorful versions ready. I have discovered that in the rest of the world calendars don't start with Sunday, but with Monday, so to accommodate everybody I created 2 versions of the calendar. On set starts the week with Sunday and the other with Monday.

I just finished the 2009 computer monitor calendars . I find it very convenient to have a calendar right on the frame of my monitor. They were very popular last year and I have already gotten request for next year's calendar. So I decided it better get working on it. It took some time as I also had to create a version that starts the week with Monday and not Sunday like here in North America. I had gotten feedback about why the weeks starts with Sunday.
